Biography
Jason Pribilsky is Professor of Anthropology and Chair of the Social Sciences Division at Whitman College. His research interests include: science and technology studies, history of anthropology, medical anthropology, and indigenous politics and identity in Latin America. His area focus includes the highland Andes of Ecuador and Peru and the urban United States. His published work has appeared in numerous journals including Visual Studies, International Migration, Diplomatic History, Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology, Bulletin of Latin American Research, and Global Networks. He is the author of La Chulla Vida: Gender and Migration in Andean Ecuador and New York CIty (2007) and is currently at work on a current book project tentatively titled Cultural's Laboratory: Midcentury Modern Anthropology and the Cold War.
